Difference between Real Estate agent and Stock and Station Agent
What are the key differences between Urban Real Estate agent and Rural Real Estate agent (Stock and Station Agent)?
Urban real estate agent, cannot sell more than 20 hectares of property, the agent needs to have the ‘Stock and Station Agent’ license;
Rural Stock and Station Agents, often have to have more property, technology & general financial knowledge because it involves large acreage of land, which we need to understand the best land use and often foster long term and wide ranging business relationships with farmers providing them with commercial, financial, technical, marketing and general business services.
The Stock and Station agent need to know, what is the BEST USE of the property, is the property involved best use for grazing, dairying, pig farming, poultry farming, viticulture, orcharding, bee-keeping, horticulture, gorwing of vegetables or other kind of crops of any kind, forestry or any combination of these activities.
Generally, in investing for rental returns, urban real estate agents are more than enough to perform the property service to the community, unless it involves more than sales and property rental, then Stock and Station Agent is sort after.
